Communist Party of Cuba reaffirms cooperation with MPLA

Luanda, ANGOLA, November 26 - The head of department for international relations of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), José Ramón Cabrera, said Monday in Luanda that the cooperation relations between the PCC and MPLA remains solid and "permanently strong".,

José Ramón Cabrera was speaking to the press following an audience granted by MPLA deputy president Luísa Damião and reiterated the friendship that unites the two political forces since the national liberation struggle in Angola.

Accompanied by his country's ambassador to Angola, Esther Gloria Cárdenas, the politician said that the meeting with the MPLA deputy president served to strengthen relations between the two parties.

Regarding the possibility of Cuba supporting Angola in the process of coercive repatriation of illicit capital transferred abroad, he considered it an internal matter and wished the Angolan government to achieve this objective.

Angola and Cuba maintain excellent relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation, which both the MPLA and its Government as well as the PCC and its Government, qualify as mutual respect.
